The underlying core philosophical approach to all COACHD content and health solutions center on creating behavior change for our members.  It is our belief that better health comes first from changing unhealthy behaviors and second from the many theories of fitness and nutrition programming and training.

ELIMINATE

FITNESS A.D.D.

The COACHD approach differs from popular health and fitness solutions in that most attempt to deliver a health and fitness solution that focuses on the material aspects of physicality, pop-culture diet schemes, and engagement in short-term fitness programs (less than 3 months).  These programs are often delivered without human-centered guidance. These almost always fail people, and if success is had, it is most often only short-term success. This kind of short-term health and fitness guidance often leads to what we term Fitness ADD--"noise" on the internet, social media, and in fitness magazines, gyms, and health clubs.

 

The COACHD framework for health is always simple, always rooted in science, and always delivered with human guidance and support.

HOW TO

CHANGE BEHAVIOR

You have goals.  Whether it's to lose 20 pounds, get off medications, or run a marathon to accomplish your goals it will require you to do things differently than you are now. But how do you change a behavior that has been a part of your life, or create a behavior that hasn’t?

Here is the COACHD 4-Step process for behavior change.


EXAMINE Why do you want to change? Really understand the motivation behind it. If you have a good reason for achieving a goal, more than I just want to, then you have a different level of motivation for actually doing what you need to do.
PLAN Just saying I’m going to eat better isn’t going to magically make you drop pounds. Create a realistic plan for how you will accomplish that task.
SIMPLIFY The more complicated your plan, the less likely you will actually do it. Simpler is better and much more realistic.
TIME Changing behaviors takes time.  It doesn’t happen just because you want it to, and it certainly doesn’t happen immediately. Many behaviors have been a part of you daily life for many years and changing how you do things requires you to be patient.
